Rahway Nonprofit Alliance
The Rahway Nonprofit Alliance (RNA) is a unique community-building, social capital resource network that was established by Rahway Mayor Raymond A. Giacobbe, his Administration, and the Rahway City Council. As a priority for its residents, the City of Rahway has provided start-up capital, meeting space
and administrative support to support the initiative. The RNA brings together representatives from a wide range of Rahway-based non-profit organizations on a regular basis around the following primary objectives: to coordinate resources and make evidence-based policy, practice, and program recommendations to achieve shared goals that improve our community. Towards these objectives:
RNA’s goals include:
1) to learn more about the key issues affecting our community
2) to examine where there are gaps, inefficiencies, or opportunities for collaboration, and
3) to make concrete recommendations to member organizations and elected officials.
Our Function
The RNA is led by a steering committee composed of key cross-sector partners that are representative of the Rahway nonprofit community who provides strategic direction for the RNA and champions its work.
The RNA leverages its membership resource network to streamline communication between elected officials, non-profit leaders, school administrators, and all Rahway community stakeholders.
As we work toward sustainable community progress, we identify and build consensus around what policies and practices pose a challenge to the communities we hope to serve. We work strategically to target key areas of improvement and leverage resources, funding, and partnerships to meet the needs of our community.
